AppCoda Weekly - Issue #181
By AppCoda Weekly • Issue #181 • View online
I hope you enjoyed this year’s online-only WWDC. Have you checked out the video on What’s new in SwiftUI? If not, this is one of the WWDC videos that you need to check out. The new update of SwiftUI adds many features to this new framework. Now you can build an app entirely using SwiftUI.
If you’ve downloaded Xcode 12, you will see a new option called Life Cycle when creating a new project. Here you can choose between SwiftUI App and UIKit App Delegate. If you select the SwiftUI app option, Xcode will replace AppDelegate.swift and SceneDelegate.swift with a single file that contains just 10 lines of code.
On top of that, SwiftUI introduces more native UI components such as LazyVGrid for creating grid layout and TextEditor for creating multiline text view.
We are preparing more tutorials on the new update of SwiftUI and adding more in-depth tutorials in our Mastering SwiftUI book.
As always, hope you enjoy the tutorials we collected for you this week.
